Course Content
Pilotage and Navigation: Refresh your skills in blind navigation, electronic navigation (Radar and GPS), and night pilotage.
Boat Handling: Enhance your boat handling techniques.
Safety Procedures: Review essential safety procedures, including Man Overboard (MOB) drills.
Skippering and Passage Planning: Improve your skippering and passage planning abilities.
Practical and Theory Exercises: Be prepared to demonstrate your ability at the Yachtmaster level through practical tasks and theoretical questions.

Pre-requisites for Yachtmaster Coastal Certificate of Competence Exam
30 days on board
800 miles logged
12 night hours
2 days as Skipper
Acceptable First Aid Certificate
SRC or VHF Certificate
RYA Sea Survival Course (recommended but compulsory if seeking an MCA/RYA Commercial Endorsement)
Note: For holders of the RYA Coastal Skipper Course Completion Certificate, sea time is reduced to 15 days and 400 miles.

Pre-requisites for Yachtmaster Offshore Certificate of Competence Exam
50 days motor cruising
2,500 miles logged
50 night hours
5 passages of 60 miles or more (with 2 overnight and 2 as skipper) on qualifying vessels
Acceptable First Aid Certificate
SRC or VHF Certificate
RYA Sea Survival Course (recommended but compulsory if seeking an MCA/RYA Commercial Endorsement)
The Yachtmaster Offshore is competent to skipper a power vessel no more than 150 miles from a Safe Haven.

Exam Fees: MCA/Yachtmaster Offshore and Coastal Exam fees are not included in the course.
